MoMA Partners with Richard Mille
The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has announced a transformative multi-year partnership with French luxury watch brand Richard Mille, marking a significant moment in the intersection of art, technology, and design. This collaboration underscores Richard Mille’s commitment to artistic innovation and visionary creativity while establishing a deeper connection to the art world.
Richard Mille’s support will play a pivotal role in enhancing the presentation of MoMA’s groundbreaking contemporary programs. The partnership will focus on the dynamic and evolving display of MoMA’s cutting-edge contemporary art collection, housed in the second-floor galleries, and the ongoing programming in the state-of-the-art Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis Studio, a space dedicated to experimental and live art forms.

The partnership debuted with the highly anticipated return of Christian Marclay’s The Clock (2010). On view in Gallery 212 from November 10, 2024, to February 17, 2025, this 24-hour montage of 12,000 meticulously synchronized film and television clips encapsulates a century of cinematic history while embodying precision timekeeping—an ideal collaboration for a brand rooted in horological excellence. Amanda Mille, Global Brand & Partnerships Director for Richard Mille, remarked, “This new partnership strengthens our commitment to the world of art. We are thrilled to partner with MoMA, a world-renowned institution that shares our passion for pushing the boundaries of creativity. This collaboration allows us to explore the intersection of art, technology, and design in new and exciting ways, reflecting the very essence of what Richard Mille stands for. Together, we aim to inspire and engage our community to celebrate the spirit of modern artistry.”
The partnership extends beyond The Clock, supporting a robust lineup of media and performance programs scheduled for 2025. Highlights in the Kravis Studio include:
Mariana Valencia: Jacklean (in rehearsal), March 12–23, 2025 – A live exploration of movement and storytelling.
Rosa Barba: The Ocean of One’s Pause, May 3–July 6, 2025 – A performance blending media and experimental art.
Studio Residency: Jonathan Berger, August 2–24, 2025 – A creative residency offering insights into the artist’s evolving process.
Stephen Prina: A Lick and a Promise, September–December 2025 – A series pushing the boundaries of contemporary performance.
This partnership aligns the precision and artistry of Richard Mille with MoMA’s dedication to presenting and celebrating the most innovative works of our time. Together, they aim to inspire audiences and redefine modern creativity, ensuring the Museum’s role as a global leader in artistic innovation.
Type 00: Jaguar’s Electric Leap
Jaguar unveiled its groundbreaking Type 00 concept car at Miami Art & Design Week, signaling a bold new direction for the iconic automaker. Combining electrification with innovative artistry, Type 00 merges the brand’s rich heritage with a vision of modern luxury and sustainability. Designed to disrupt the electric vehicle market, the Type 00 represents Jaguar’s commitment to reimagining its future while staying true to its DNA of sleek lines, bold grilles, and striking presence. The two zeros in the name symbolize zero emissions and the turning of a new chapter in the brand’s history.

Type 00 challenges conventional EV design with enlarged proportions and a longitudinal architecture defined by a long hood and fastback profile. This creates a spacious, luxurious interior crafted from materials like brass, travertine stone, and woven textiles, offering a sensory-rich environment. Innovative features such as retractable screens, ambient lighting, powered stowage areas, a Clearsight rearview display, and body-harmonized glazing create a seamless connection between the physical and digital realms. The car’s flowing lines and uninterrupted silhouette are made possible by Jaguar Electrical Architecture (JEA), which underpins its elegant exterior.
Jaguar’s ethos, “Copy of Nothing,” is at the heart of the Type 00. Vibrant colors, including London Blue—a nod to the brand’s British heritage—and Miami Pink, inspired by the aged patina of brass, reinforce its boldness. The strikethrough motif, a visual representation of breaking conventions, is prominently displayed on the vehicle’s rear and echoed in its 23-inch alloy wheels. Hand-finished brass details, such as the hidden rear-facing camera ingots and the maker’s mark monogram, add a sculptural elegance while paying homage to Jaguar’s legacy.

The Type 00 also boasts impressive performance capabilities, delivering up to 1000 horsepower. While technology plays a crucial role, it remains subtle, allowing the car’s design and craftsmanship to take center stage. Constantino Segui Gilabert, Jaguar’s Chief Exterior Designer, encapsulated the spirit of the vehicle, stating, “Jaguar is no place for ordinary. When you see a new Jaguar for the first time, it must have a sense of awe, of never having been seen before. Type 00 commands attention, like all the best Jaguars of the past. It celebrates art and embodies the essence of Exuberant Modernism.”
Looking ahead, Jaguar will release its first reimagined production vehicle, an electric four-door GT, in late 2025. Built in the UK, the car is expected to offer a range of up to 430 miles per charge, with rapid charging enabling 200 miles of travel in just 15 minutes, subject to final testing. Type 00’s debut was celebrated through immersive gallery spaces during Miami Art & Design Week, underscoring Jaguar’s commitment to blending creativity with technological innovation. This artistic dedication will extend to exclusive brand stores worldwide, beginning with the opening of a flagship location in Paris’ fashion district. Leaked Details: Extravagant Offerings and Price Tags
The hype surrounding the re-edition collection intensified when Supreme Leaks revealed exclusive images and estimated prices on Instagram. Among the standout items is a $650,000 USD bag case, adorned with Murakami’s signature multi-colored Louis Vuitton monogram. The collection also includes:
A $65,500 USD monogram-covered trunk

A Historic Collaboration Revived
The original collaboration, which debuted on the Spring/Summer 2003 runway, was led by Louis Vuitton’s then-creative director Marc Jacobs. Murakami’s vibrant floral motifs, cartoon-inspired designs, and reinterpretation of Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram defined the era. The partnership produced instantly recognizable pieces, including brightly colored logo bags, monogramouflage, and cherry blossom designs, that cemented Louis Vuitton’s presence in modern pop culture.
At the time, the collaboration was described by Marc Jacobs as “the ultimate crossover,” blending art and commerce in a way that transformed the fashion landscape. Many of the original pieces now fetch premium prices at auction, underscoring their lasting cultural and artistic impact.
Louis Vuitton teased the re-edition collection with a short Instagram video showcasing Murakami’s signature floral motifs and bear designs fused with the classic LV logo. While specific details about the full collection remain under wraps, fans can anticipate a blend of nostalgia and modern luxury that celebrates the enduring legacy of this partnership.
The Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Re-Edition Collection is poised to be one of the most talked-about fashion releases of 2025. With its launch just weeks away, this revival promises to rekindle the magic of one of the most iconic collaborations in fashion history.
Lando Norris Ends 26-Year McLaren Drought in Abu Dhabi
Lando Norris delivered a spectacular performance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, securing McLaren’s first Formula One constructors’ championship since 1998 and capping off a season of remarkable resurgence. The victory marks a new era for McLaren while also closing the chapter on Lewis Hamilton’s illustrious career with Mercedes.
McLaren’s last constructors’ title was over a quarter-century ago, long before Norris or teammate Oscar Piastri were born. The team endured difficult years, including finishing ninth in 2015 and 2017, but their resurgence culminated in a triumphant 2024 season. As fireworks lit up the sky over Yas Marina Circuit, McLaren personnel celebrated wildly, toasting their long-awaited success.

Norris started from pole position and held his ground against a determined Ferrari challenge, with Carlos Sainz finishing second and Charles Leclerc third. Despite the pressure, Norris delivered under high stakes after Piastri’s race was effectively ended on the first lap by a collision with Max Verstappen.
Hamilton also commanded attention in his final race for Mercedes, showcasing the resilience that defined his career. Starting 16th, he carved through the field with a masterful drive, overtaking teammate George Russell on the final lap to finish fourth. His post-race celebrations, complete with a series of doughnuts on the start-finish straight, were met with chants from the crowd as he knelt beside his car in reflection.
Speaking to his race engineer Peter Bonnington, Hamilton said, “We dreamed alone, but together we believed. Thank you for all the courage, the determination, the passion, and for seeing me and supporting me. From the bottom of my heart; all the best. I love you.” His heartfelt message encapsulated a partnership that began in 2013 and yielded six world championships, 84 wins, and 153 podiums.
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff praised Hamilton’s efforts, saying, “That was the drive of a world champion. We love you, you are always going to be part of our family, and if we can’t win, you should win.” Hamilton now looks ahead to joining Ferrari next season in pursuit of an eighth title.

McLaren’s path to the title was anything but straightforward. They overcame a 115-point deficit to Red Bull earlier in the season, thanks to game-changing upgrades introduced at the Miami Grand Prix. Their 21-point lead over Ferrari heading into Abu Dhabi set the stage for a tense finale, but Norris and the team rose to the occasion with a flawless execution.
Elsewhere in the race, Verstappen finished sixth after his collision with Piastri, who fought back to claim 10th. Russell took fifth, Pierre Gasly seventh for Alpine, Nico Hülkenberg eighth for Haas, and Fernando Alonso ninth for Aston Martin.
For McLaren, the victory is both a celebration of their storied legacy and a signal of their future ambitions. Their remarkable comeback season has reignited hopes of continued success in 2025 and beyond, making their long-overdue triumph even sweeter.
